On this website you will find insights and outputs from the Accelerating 0-emission building sector ambitions in the MENA region project. Also known as BUILD_ME, the project aims to support the deployment of highly energy efficient and renewable-energy based heating and cooling systems in new buildings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The project’s target countries are Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon.

Guidehouse has teamed up with national partner organisations in each of the three target countries as well other relevant organisations to implement the project. For more information about each of our partners, click on the Project team page.

Phase I of the project took place from 2016 to 2018. Phase II extended from 2019 to 2022 and the ongoing Phase III was extended from 2022 to 2025. The project is funded by the International Climate Initiative (IKI), supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Actiom (BMWK).

Information about the BUILD_ME project can also be found on the IKI website.
