Successful Training Session Conducted for EBRD-GEFF Financial Institutions
A comprehensive training session was recently conducted for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) Green Economy Financing Facilities (GEFF), a member of the Target Group 1 (TG1) - financial institutions. The training aims to enhance the participants' understanding and application of BUILD_ME's BEP tool.
During the training, the twenty participants had the opportunity to take a closer at BUILD_ME and were provided with a detailed introduction to the BUILD_ME project, highlighting its goals, scope, and significance within the current financial and environmental landscape. Participants further gained insights about the Building Energy Performance (BEP) Tool, including the logic, calculation methodology, and user interface, ensuring that participants could effectively utilize this tool to identify projects eligible for financing. The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) process was thoroughly explained, including how the tool is fully integrated and automates the EPC process. The training then discussed the key parameters of the certificate, including its design, performance rating, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and recommendations for energy efficient actions page of the certificate. This information is crucial for participants to understand the certification process and its implications. Finally, a live demonstration of the project website and BEP tool was conducted, with a clear focus on the newly integrated features such as the custom baseline, the option to print the EPC, and the EPC workflow. This hands-on session allows participants to see the practical applications of the tools discussed. The training included a fruitful exchange regarding the EPC process, potential obstacles, and financing options, providing participants with the opportunity to discuss real-world challenges and solutions.
In summary, the training session marks a significant success for the BUILD_ME projecct, equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and tools to enhance their project management capabilities, and marking the beginning of a collaboration with the international financier.
